Hi friends! Join me as I share some of my favourite looks from my ultimate fashion houses who showcased their looks for fashion week. Of course I share some notes on the looks and what my favourite were. These are just the few that I like and didn’t want to add too much images. Shows like Loewe, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Saint Laurent, Yohji Yamamoto and more had a few pieces I did like.

The Edit

Victoria Beckham

“I explored the concept of playing dress up, taking an unafraid approach to experimenting, which translated from the collection to the makeup,” Beckham says in a Vogue interview. Victoria Beckham’s runway looks happen to be one of my favourite shows due to it’s deconstructed silhouettes in a rainbow of silks, pastel knits, and graphic black and white textures, Beckham debuted her latest beauty launch with a flipped cat-eye designed to feel youthful, fresh, and still wearable.

The Row

Elegance and sophistication remain, but they also dabbled in hyperbole, in the form of extra-long sleeves and neck grazing, exaggerated ’70s collars and I’m certain you instantly know I’m speaking about The Row. I will always appreciate how The Olsens approach minimalism.

Balmain

12 years and running Olivier Rousteing nailed the Balmain show looks and all. This season, while still doing things his way, Rousteing pivoted both in presentation and product towards classicism, which is fast becoming a keynote feature of the fall shows more broadly. Explosive bow dresses, sculpturally architectural corsets, a luscious long coat made of rustling raspberry mesh, and super-built quilted looks followed.

Bottega Veneta

Blazy and the team “decided not to edit the collection.” Instead, they kept adding characters and occasions for which to dress them, starting with a just-stepped-out-of-bed sheer dressing gown and house shoes. What does a Bottega Veneta house shoe look like? It’s a slipper sock, only the wool upper is not wool at all but knitted leather.

Prada

Prada has always rejected the obvious, of course; by embracing the “ugly”. A take on skirts, blazers and detailing is showcased really well on the garments.
